TMP Organizes Candle March Demanding Justice For Angel Chakma.

Ampi, Tripura, 29th of December 2025 : Demanding immediate justice for Angel Chakma who was killed in Dehradun by miscreants recently Ampi block YTF organization has conducted candle march here in Ampi nagar in Gomati Tripura today. Protesting the heinous incident the TMP and its all wings have demanded immediate justice for the victim family.

As per the report, A 24-year-old student from Tripura named Angel Chakma who died weeks after being injured in an alleged racist aggression in Dehradun in Uttarakhand has created spark amidst indigenous communities across the country. The victim was killed brutally attacked with sharp objects such as knives; when his brother Michael Chakma has attempted to defend his brother has sustained critical injuries and now under the treatment in hospital.

The police said that a complaint was filed on December 10, following which, a case was registered and three accused and two minors were arrested and detained respectively on December 14.

Tarun Chakma the father of the deceased Angel Chakma is a BSF jawan and is currently posted in Manipur’s Tangjeng, told reporters that his sons were called racial slurs even though his son told the attackers that he was also Indian, not Chinese. TMP organization of Ampi nagar block has raised strong voice against this barbarous aggression and demanded remarkable punishment for those social enemies and claimed appropriate justice for the victim family. MLA Pathan Lal Jamatia, Ampi block TMP president Sanjay Jamatia, YTF president Debarshi Jamatia, Sukhendu Kalai and many other local leaders were remained present in the candle rally.
