Sabroom, Tripura, 28th of May, 2025 : An iron bridge in Baisnabpur village area under Sabroom Subdivision collapsed on Friday (23rd May, 2025) due to an overloaded truck. After receiving information, the residents of Baisnabpur are in extreme distress due to the recklessness of the truck drivers by the contractor company. A divesting road accident took place in Baisnabpur ADC Village area of Sabroom Subdivision of South Tripura District on Friday morning. According to local sources, on Friday (23rd May, 2025) morning, an overloaded stone-laden truck crossed over a 15-ton iron bridge near Mongsangei Para in Baishnabpur, when the bridge collapsed within a moment.
As a result, the movement of small and large vehicles on that road has been stopped. Due to this, the people and drivers of the vast areas including Baisnabpur, ADC Village area of Sabroom Subdivision of South Tripura District Drivers of vehicles traveling from Sabroom to Drivers of vehicles traveling from Sabroom to Vaishnavpur said the media that the Government should immediately take action to repair the bridge, as the bridge has blocked traffic on that road, causing financial losses to drivers.
