Agartala, Tripura, 6th of September 2025 : With the initiative of the Tribal Research & Cultural Institute organized “Distribution of Cultural Materials Programme 2025” at Dasarath Bhavan, Agartala Tripura on Saturday (6th September, 2025). In the presence of many dignitaries Hon’ble Tribal Welfare, Handloom, Handicrafts & Sericulture, Statistics Minister Bikash Debbarma inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.

Addressing at the inaugural session of the event Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarma said that The Present Government of the State is making efforts to protect the traditional culture and traditions of the indigenous people. Various initiatives are being taken for this purpose. The Tribal Welfare Minister also added that tribals should be made accessible to a wider section of the society. Initiatives should be taken to make the children of the current generation more interested in the culture of their own community. He said that this initiative of distributing various materials has been taken to protect the culture and heritage of the tribals of the state. The state should be further developed through the spread of mixed culture.

Amidst the distinguished there were Secretary of Tribal Welfare Department Dr. K. Sasikumar, Director of the Tribal Welfare Department Anandahari Jamatia, officials of the department and many other remained present in the programme.
