Agartala, Tripura, 2nd of December, 2025 : On specific information of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) secret operation was launched in Agartala Railway Station on Monday (1st December, 2025) night. According to the sources, RPF & GRP, arrested two (2) drug peddlers from Agartala Railway Station and seized a total of 04.110 Kg dry cannabis (Ganja). They wanted to take it to other state by train using Agartala railway station.
According to sources, GRP & RPF of Agartala at about 9 PM to catch two person namely 1) Pranay Das (25), S/O- Matilal Das of Rajyashwari Nagar, Amtali, West Tripura and 2) Parag Sarkar (22), S/O- Tapan Sarkar of Sarashima, Belonia, South Tripura along with total 04.110 Kg purported to be contraband Ganja in their bags. The value of this Ganja is Rs- 50000/- approx in black market. Tripura Railway Police arrested them from Agartala Railway station platform no-01 and seized the contraband Ganja. A specific case vide Agartala GRPS case no-2025GRP113, U/S-20(b)(ii)(B)/29 of NDPS Act-1985 has registered against them.
