Dharmanagar, Tripura, 25th of February, 2026 : On the occasion of Tripura Police Week–2025, the North Tripura District Police achieved remarkable recognition by securing multiple prestigious awards. The honors, both individual and institutional, are being regarded as a testament to the district police’s dedication, professionalism, and people-friendly approach.

Officer-in-Charge of Dharmanagar Police Station, Mina Debbarma, has been awarded the DGP’s Commendation Disc–2025. The recognition was conferred for her outstanding role in maintaining law and order, crime control, and promoting community -oriented policing. District police officials stated that her commitment and professionalism are a matter of pride for the entire police fraternity.Meanwhile, SDPO (Dharmanagar) Jayanta Karmakar received the Best Policeman of the Year–2025 award along with the Chief Minister’s Medal. He earned this distinction for his accountability toward the public, administrative efficiency, and significant contributions to community-focused policing initiatives.In addition to these individual achievements, the North Tripura District Police secured a major institutional honor.
The district was awarded the “Best District for Beat System–2025” recognition. Superintendent of Police, North Tripura, Avinash Rai, IPS, received the trophy and citation from Manik Saha, Chief Minister of Tripura, at the historic Parade Ground in Agartala.The award is attributed to the effective implementation of the beat system, strong public engagement, and success in crime prevention and control. The district’s triple achievement has generated enthusiasm among administrative circles as well as the general public.Police authorities affirmed their commitment to continue serving the people with the same dedication and sense of responsibility in the future.
