Dharmanagar, Tripura, 7th of April, 2026 : Dharmanagar police have achieved a major breakthrough in the investigation of the Khaled murder case that took place in the Mangal Khali area on the day of Eid. In a special operation conducted today, two more key accused have been arrested, taking the total number of arrested individuals in this sensational case to three.
According to police sources, acting on confidential information, a special operation was carried out in the Ragna area under the leadership of Officer-in-Charge mina Debbarma and SDPO Jayanta Karmakar. During the raid, two accused who had been in hiding—Haider Ali (30) and Md. Moinuddin (44)—were successfully apprehended. Both are residents of Mangal Khali village.It is worth mentioning that on the day of Eid, a young man named Khaled was allegedly brutally murdered in Mangal Khali by five individuals. One accused had been arrested immediately after the incident. With today’s arrests, the number of accused has risen to three.
Speaking about the operation, SDPO Jayanta Karmakar confirmed that the two accused were nabbed from the Ragna area. However, two more suspects are still absconding. Police efforts are ongoing, and officials have assured that the remaining accused will soon be brought under the law.This tragic incident, which turned the joy of Eid into mourning, has shocked the local community. Authorities believe that with continued police action, the full truth behind the case will soon come to light.
