Agartala, Tripura, 24th of January, 2026 : As part of the 18th Rozgar Mela being held across the country, a Rozgar Mela was also organized at the Frontier Headquarters of the Border Security Force in Salbagan, Tripura. On this occasion, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Coal and Mines, Satish Chandra Dubey, handed over appointment letters to a total of 174 candidates on Saturday (24th January, 2026).

Addressing the programme, Minister Dubey said that these appointment letters are not just pieces of paper, but a recognition of the candidates’ hard work. He urged young men and women to join the uniformed services and contribute to the nation’s mainstream. Praising the country’s women power, the Union Minister said that the Prime Minister has given special emphasis to women empowerment.
At today’s programme held at the BSF Headquarters in Salbagan, out of the total 174 appointment letter recipients, 133 were male and 41 were female candidates. Among the selected candidates, 99 will join the BSF, 41 the CRPF, 20 the ITBP, nine the Assam Rifles, and five the SSB.
The Union Minister of State congratulated the parents of the selected candidates. He further said that this job should be viewed not merely as employment, but as another means of serving the nation. Minister Dubey added that the Rozgar Mela is not limited to the distribution of appointment letters alone; rather, it is a powerful platform for fulfilling the dreams of youth, strengthening the resolve of a self-reliant India, and enabling participation in nation-building.

Union Minister also added that this distribution of appointment letters will accelerate the journey of national security, service, and development by harnessing the energy, dedication, and talent of the youth of Tripura, the North-East, and the entire country.
