“Vote For Amitabh Datta To Build A Terror- And Corruption-Free Dharmanagar”—CPIM’s Call At Election Office Inauguration.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 26th of March 2026 : With the upcoming Dharmanagar by-election approaching, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPIM] has intensified its election campaign. As part of this effort, the party inaugurated its election office in Dharmanagar on Thursday.The inaugural meeting began under the of Subhash Ray. Prominent leaders present at the event included CPIM Central Committee member Krishna Rakshit, State Committee member Amal Chakraborty, Left Front–nominated candidate for the Dharmanagar by-election Amitabh Datta, MLA of Jubarajnagar constituency Shailendra Chandra Nath, and party leader Durgesh Ray, along with party workers and supporters.

North Tripura District Secretary Abhijit Dey, in his speech, urged voters to ensure a massive victory for CPIM candidate Amitabh Dutta in order to build a terror- and corruption-free Dharmanagar. He stated that under the current circumstances, the safety of common people and democratic rights are repeatedly under threat. To overcome this situation, he emphasized the need for democratic forces to unite and support the CPIM candidate.

State leader Amal Chakraborty also addressed the gathering, stating that there is no alternative to CPIM in ensuring overall development, peace, and stability in Dharmanagar. He called upon party workers and supporters to carry out door-to-door campaigning.Several other senior leaders, including MLA Shailendra Chandra Nath, were also present at the event. All of them collectively urged party workers to put in their full effort to secure victory for the party’s candidate. A large number of party workers and supporters attended the inauguration, which political observers believe reflects the organizational strength of CPIM ahead of the upcoming by-election
