Zero Tolerance On Security : Active Checks At All Naka Points In North Tripura.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 24th of March 2026 : In view of the upcoming by-election in 56-Dharmanagar Assembly constituency, security and surveillance have been intensified across North Tripura. On Monday late night, District Magistrate Chandni Chandran, along with the Static Surveillance Team (SST), inspected various naka (check) points across the district. She visited a total of six key naka points and personally reviewed the vehicle checking operations on the ground. During the inspection, she also interacted with the personnel on duty.

The District Magistrate issued a clear message that all teams must maintain the highest level of vigilance to ensure a transparent and impartial election process. She also emphasized strengthening accountability and a sense of responsibility among the teams.It is reported that during the inspection, all naka points were fully active and operational.

Vehicle checks were being conducted as per protocol, with special attention given to suspicious movements.Meanwhile, the Chief Electoral Officer has also stated that no laxity in security arrangements will be tolerated during the election period.Surveillance will be further intensified at all crucial points in the district, and additional forces will be deployed if necessary. The administration’s proactive approach has reportedly boosted public confidence, according to local residents.
