Agartala, Tripura, 31st of December 2025 : With the jointly initiative of the Tripura Gramin Bank (TGB) organized 12-day training programme on “Basics of Candle Making” under supported by the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) at Bishramganj, Sepahijala District. The training programme was started from 15th December. The 12-day training programme titled “Basics of Candle Making” was successfully completed on December 26, 2025.
The training aimed to equip rural youth and women with practical knowledge and hands-on skills in candle making, enabling them to explore self-employment and micro-enterprise opportunities with low investment and high market demand.
During the programme, trainees learned : Different types of candle making techniques, Raw materials selection & cost management, Quality improvement & finishing, Packaging, pricing & basic marketing, Scope for starting small-scale enterprises.
Through such programmes, TGB RSETI continues its mission to promote skill development, entrepreneurship, and sustainable rural livelihoods with continuous guidance and hand holding support.
