Agartala, Tripura, 17th of January, 2026 : Marching forward on its commitment towards social responsibility and upliftment of the society, 124 Bn CRPF conducted distribution of Stationery and Sports items at Sanmura Senior Basic School, Lankamura, under Sadar sub-division, Agartala. Organized by 124 CRPF under the command of Sh Ravish Kumar, CO, the Civic Action Program was inaugurated by Sh Henzang, DIG, Range Agartala.
The event witnessed large participation of wellwishers from every section of the society. Sh Niva Das, Councilor Lankamura Ward 15, Sh Sisir Ranjan, Headmaster, Sanmura S.B. School, Sh Gouranga Das, Secretary, Sanmura S.B. School, citizens of the area and Officers from 124 CRPF were also in attendance. Stationery package comprising of 06 Notebooks, 05 pens and 01 packed of pencil alongwith eraser and sharpener each was distributed to 100 students by the Chief Guest, Sh Henzang, DIG. Sports items consisting Football, Volleyball and Net was also handed out to the school. While interacting with school authorities and students, Sh Ravish Kumar, CO, highlighted that education should not be confined to the four walls of classroom alone. Physical activities like games alongwith study only can develop a sound mind in a sound body, he said.
The gathering was treated to a sumptuous refreshment of snacks, sweets; and chocolates for the junior section of the students. The reception from the school authority was that of deep appreciation and a hope for such fruitful collaboration in the future. The program concluded with a commendable success providing one more shot in the arm for 124 Bn CRPF.
