13 Tripura Battalion NCC, Third Day Of Training.

Agartala, Tripura, 27th of June 2026 : The third day of training activities at the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC)-50, organized by 13 Tripura Battalion NCC, Agartala at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Youth Hostel, was conducted with great enthusiasm and active participation from the cadets. The day commenced with the observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, reinforcing the message of a healthy, disciplined, and drug-free lifestyle among the youth.

A Drill Competition and Map Reading Competition were organized to assess and enhance the cadets’ military bearing, discipline, and navigation skills. The competitions witnessed spirited participation and showcased the training standards attained by the cadets during the camp.


An informative lecture on Basics of Personality Development and Public Speaking was delivered by the Camp Commandant, focusing on self-confidence, communication skills, leadership qualities, and overall personality enhancement. This was followed by a special lecture on the NER Dashboard and NCC Enrollment Procedures by Guest Lecturer Ms. Divya Jyoti, who provided valuable insights into NCC digital initiatives and enrollment mechanisms.

Practical training on Map Reading and Compass Handling was also conducted, enabling cadets to gain hands-on experience in navigation techniques and the use of compasses in field conditions. During the evening training session, selected cadets participated in Firing (Zeroing) practice under the guidance of the training staff, strengthening their weapon handling and marksmanship skills.

The day’s activities concluded with an awareness lecture on Drug Abuse by the Medical Officer, who highlighted the adverse effects of substance abuse on individuals and society and encouraged cadets to become ambassadors of a drug-free nation.

The successful conduct of the day’s activities contributed significantly to the development of discipline, leadership, military knowledge, and social awareness among the cadets, furthering the objectives of NCC in shaping responsible and capable citizens.
