139th Shree Shree  Radha Krishna Raas Festival 2025 At Sonamura, Sepahijala District.

Agartala, Tripura, 5th of November, 2025 : With the initiative of Information & Cultural Affairs Department Government of Tripura District Level  139th Shree Shree Radha Krishna Raas Festival 2025 was conducted in collaboration with  Mohanbhog RD Bloc and Shri Shri Shyamacharan Goswami Sebashram at Taibandal under Sepahijala District Tripura on Tuesday (4th November, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.

Addressing at the District Level 139th Shree Shree  Radha Krishna Raas Festival 2025 Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that  at present, social progress is taking place through the convergence of development, religious faith, and trust in Sanatan values. Along with infrastructural development across of State and throughout India, efforts are being made to preserve religious beliefs. Practicing religion does not only mean performing rituals; true religious practice means carrying out one’s duties responsibly and with sincerity.

Dr. Saha said traditions must be preserved. No kind of politics is encouraged when it comes to protecting tradition and ensuring people’s development. The Chief Minister said that the government is working toward the goal of a “Developed India 2047.” Along with that, a “Developed Tripura” must also be built. He added that the vision of a developed Tripura can be achieved only through the collective development of all communities and tribes of the state.”

The Chief Minister said that our State is home to a mixed culture of various communities and tribes. In the past, due to divisive politics, the true development of the tribal people did not take place. At present, with the initiatives of the Central Government, along with development in the northeastern region, an atmosphere of peace has also been established.

Highlighting on the event, the Chief Minister remarked tha the true essence of the Raas Leela festival lies in the union of love, devotion, and affection that the celebration embodies. He also added that, as per a Cabinet decision, the Tripura Government has decided to provide an honorarium of ₹5,000 to community leaders. He said that for many years, slogans were raised in the name of tribal development, but no one genuinely worked for their real progress. However, the present government is firmly committed to the true development of the tribal communities.

Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were Supriya Das Dutta, Sabhadhipati of the Sipahijala Zilla Parisha, Superintendent of Police Vijay Debbarma, MLA Bindu Debnath, District Magistrate Dr. Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal, Mohanbhog Panchayat Samiti Chairman Shribas Bhowmik, BAC Chairman Basilya Kumar Noatia and many other dignitaries were participated in the colourful procession.
