15th Bishalgarh Book Fair Inaugurates By Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath.

Bishalgarh, Tripura, 19th of February, 2025 : With the initiative of Bishalgarh Municipal Council 15th Bishalgarh Book Fair 2025 has been organized at the Bishalgarh Town Higher Secondary School ground on Wednesday (19th February, 2025). Hon’ble Power, Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath has Inaugurated the 15th Bishalgarh Book Fair by lighting the lamp.

The Four-day books fair will continue till 22nd February, 2025. The theme for this year’s 15th Bishalgarh Book Fair is ““Amar Meye Amar Ahankarer””(My Daughter My Pride).

“Book fairs are a fair of knowledge and thought. Through book fairs, the new generation should be encouraged to read books. A book can change society. Books expand the light of knowledge. Books preserve the history of our society and civilization.”, Hon’ble Power, Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath said at the inaugural ceremony of 15th Bishalgarh Book Fair. The Agriculture minister also added that Books are our greatest friends. No matter how much civilization and science develop, the need for books will never end. In today’s society, everyone should give books to their children. We can learn about the development of knowledge and science by reading books.

At the event, the guests unveiled the souvenir published on the occasion of the 15th Bishalgarh Book Fair. A total of 18 book stalls including Tripura Publishers Guild and All Tripura Book Sellers Association have been opened in the four-day Bishalgarh Book Fair. After the inaugural ceremony,the guests visited the stalls of the book fair. Cultural events, groups discussion and quiz competitions have been organized on the occasion of the book fair.

Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were Sushanta Deb, Chairman of Bishalgarh Panchayat Samiti Atasi Das, Chairman of Bishalgarh Panchayat Samiti Standing Committee on Education Tapan Das, Additional District Magistrate and Collector of Sepahijala Rinku Lather and many other dignitaries were present in the inauguration ceremony. The function was presided over by Chairperson of Bishalgarh Municipal Council Anjan Purkayastha.
