Agartala, Tripura, 1st of August, 2024 : With the initiative of Tripura Sports School celebrated the 25th foundation day at Tripura Sports School premises Badharghat, Agartala on Thursday (1st August, 2024). On this auspicious occasion, in the presence of many dignitaries Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and MLA of Tripura Legislative Assembly Dipak Majumder inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.
Addressing the Foundation Day Celebration ceremony Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Dipak Majumder said that the present Government is working for the overall development of health, education, tourism and sports infrastructure of the State. Tripura Sports School is playing a special role in imparting moral education to the students as well as producing talented athletes. Students of this school have made the name of the state bright in various sports categories at different levels from State to international level. The mayor expressed hope that the students here will present the face of the state to the world in the field of sports.
On this auspicious occasion Padma Shri awardee Dipa Karmakar was felicitated by Tripura Sports School. Students assembled in the venue and took participation in this event with great enthusiasm. Former teachers and students of the school were also felicitated on the occasion. The guests planted trees in the school premises to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of the school.
Amidst the distinguished dignitaries of the programme there were Hon’ble Deputy Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Manika Das Datta, Sukanta Ghosh, Secretary of Tripura Sports School , Smt. Mina Rani Sarkar, MLA, Tripura Legislative Assembly and many other dignitaries were present in the programme.
