34th Edition Of Tripura Industries & Commerce Fair 2024.

Agartala, 26th of January, 2024 : With the initiative of Industries & Commerce Department, Government of Tripura 34th Edition of Tripura Industries & Commerce Fair, 2024 has been organized at International Fair Ground, Hapania, Agartala on Thursday (25th January, 2024). In the presence of many dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has inaugurated 34th Edition of Tripura Industries & Commerce Fair, 2024 by lighting the lamp.

As per the reports, this fair will continue from 2 pm to 9 pm every day until February 11, 2024. A total of 503 stalls have been opened in this fair. There are 44 international stalls, 130 other states, 246 local stalls, 83 government and government undertaking stalls. Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Thailand and Dubai, entrepreneurs from 17 states of the country opened their stalls in the fair. The theme for this year’s Industries & Commerce Fair is “Technology and Innovation”.

“The Government has given priority to the development of the industrial sector in the economic development of the State. The State now has a favorable environment for the industry. Investors are also getting interested in investing in the State. The present Government aims to take the share of industry in the State’s GDP to fifty percent”, Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said at the inauguration ceremony of 34th edition of Tripura Industries & Commerce Fair. The Chief Minister said that an average of 25-30 new industries have been set up in the State in the last 5-6 years. At present 315 industrial units are functioning in 14 industrial places under the Tripura Industrial Development Corporation in the state. More than 7 thousand workers are employed in these industrial units.

Addressing the gathering the Chief Minister also added that currently there is an atmosphere of peace and harmony in the State. The development of the state is accelerated due to the Vocal for Locals, formation of Self Help Groups, diamond model in the communication system of the State and other management. Soon Unity Mall will be set up fair premises at a cost of  ₹ 140 crores. The products of different States of the country will be displayed in the mall. The objective is to highlight the diversity of the products, along with the bond of unity within diversity.

Kiran Gitte Secretary of Industries & Commerce Department Government of Tripura  delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. Hon’ble Industries & Commerce, Jail (Home), OBC Welfare Minister Santana Chakma, Hon’ble Deputy Speaker of Tripura Legislative Assembly Ram Prasad Pal also spoke on the occasion. Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Dipak Majumder, Bangladesh High Commission, Assistant High Commissioner Arif Mohammad,  Sabhadhipati in-charge of Paschim Tripura Zilla Parishad Haridulal Acharjee, MLA Mina Rani Sarkar, TIDC Chairman Nabadal Banik and many other dignitaries were present in the inauguration ceremony.
