Agartala, Tripura, 21st of November, 2025 : With the jointly initiative of Yuva Vikash Kendra and Bajaj Foundation 4th International Youth Festival- Heritage Fest-2025 organized at Swami Vivekananda ground premises, Agartala, Tripura on Friday (21st November, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp.

Addressing at the inaugural ceremony of 4th International Youth Festival- Heritage Fest-2025 Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that Our culture is our wealth. Through festivals like this, the cultures of both our country and foreign nations come together. Such events serve as a school for friendship and cultural exchange.
The Chief Minister said that the youth community is India’s greatest asset. If the youth can be guided forward in an organized manner in every field, the country will develop rapidly. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that if the nation’s 62% youth population can be guided on the right direction, a developed India will emerge. The role of the youth is immense in taking the country and the nation forward. The youth must always remain aware of the country’s culture and heritage.

Highlighting the occasion, the Chief Minister remarked that if development and culture can be advanced in the right manner, the country will move in the right direction. He added that large-scale development work is also underway in Tripura, just like in other northeastern states. A MoU worth ₹30,000 crore has been signed for the development of the northeastern states, out of which Tripura alone has been allocated ₹1,500 crore. Because peace and harmony prevail in the state, tourists from various states across the country as well as from abroad continue to praise Tripura. He said that the government will not compromise in any way when it comes to maintaining peace and harmony—law will take its own course
President of the Youth Development Centre Debasish Majumder delivered a welcome address at the inaugural session of the event. A total of 400 youth delegates from 26 states of the country and 17 youth representatives from 7 countries participated in the festival. Representatives from each state and the 7 countries honored the Chief Minister by presenting him with mementos. The Chief Minister also felicitated senior representatives of the Youth Development Centre. Various exhibition stalls have been set up at Swami Vivekananda ground in connection with the festival.

Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were Hon’ble Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Tinku Roy, Secretary, Youth Affairs & Sports department Pradip Kumar Chakraborty, CEO of the Youth Development Centre Uday Shankar Sit, Chairman of the Bajaj Foundation Apurba Bajaj, Tripura State Cultural Advisory Committee Vice Chairman Subrata Chakraborty, Tapan Lodh, Chairman of the organizing committee and many other distinguished dignitaries were present in the inauguration ceremony today.
