50 Years Old Woman Drowned In Pond.

Khowai, 21st of May, 2024 : A fifty-year-old woman died after drowned. The tragic incident took place on Tuesday morning in Old Tabla Bari area under Khowai police station. The dead woman’s name is Kalabati Debbarma. According to family sources, the woman went to the pond of her house at eight o’clock on Tuesday morning. Water irrigation was going on in the pond. Suddenly the woman slipped and fell into the pond. No one was on the bank of the pond at the time of the incident. Meanwhile, Kalabati Debbarma did not know how to swim. So Kalabati Debbarma died by drowning in the water. After the incident, family members rushed to Khowai district hospital with Kalabati Debbarma. After being brought to the hospital, the doctor on duty declared him dead.

The Khowai police station rushed to the district hospital after receiving the information. The police are investigate the incident with a case of unusual death in view of the incident. Meanwhile, the body of Kalabati Debbarma was handed over to the family members after the post-mortem in the afternoon. The family of the deceased is in deep mourning over the incident.
