Amarpur, Tripura, 30th of December 2025. The Dept. of Hindi of the GDC has concluded the seminar cum 7 day long training program over Entrepreneurship and Skill Development for Women here in Goverment Degree College in Khumulwng successfully today. As per the report, The one day seminar cum 7 day long training program on Entrepreneurship and Skill Development for Women was organized by the department of Hindi of Govemment Degree College on 23rd of December 2025. The event has been concluded with a vibrant valedictory session filled with inspiration and appreciation. The training programme was aimed at developing entrepreneurial mindset among women and equipping them with skills for future self-reliance. The programme was constituted with essential motivational segments. A memento was also presented to the chief guest by Dr. Bhupendra Debbarma, principal-in-charge, as a gesture of honour. The atmosphere was further enriched with a beautiful welcome song presented by the students, setting a harmonious tone for the session.

The formal proceedings opened with a welcome address delivered by Sri Pradip Debbarma, who extended greetings to the dignitaries, participants and attendees, highlighting the significance of entrepreneurship-based learning,
particularly for women. Following this, Dr. Subrata Debbarma, Nodal Officer of PM- USHA, addressed the gathering and appreciated the initiative of organizing such a programme that nurtures skill enrichment and women empowerment through hands- on training.
As part of the participant reflections, Reshma, a student representative, shared her experience of the seven-day tailoring training, expressing how the programme has helped her and others gain confidence to create self- employment opportunities and consider future, entrepreneurial ventures. A presidential address was delivered by Dr. Bhupendra Debbarma, principal-in-charge, who highlighted the role of academic institutions in developing vocational skills alongside formal education. He stressed the need for more such training initiatives to encourage women to pursue business, craftsmanship and independent income generation. The honorable chief guest Sri Animesh Debbarma, director, directorate of higher education, govt. of Tripura then delivered his address, emphasising the importance of having a clear goal in life. He noted that entrepreneurship requires courage more than capital, and motivated the students to keep diverse career options open while building discipline, innovation and determination. His words inspired the attendees and encouraged them to all. According to the convener of the programme Maharani Hrangkhawl, asst. professor, the event marked a significant step towards women entrepreneurship and skill development, leaving participants motivated to explore business avenues and apply their training achievement in real life initiatives.
