The report is based on comprehensive primary research involving over 1,000 professionals across India, spanning various sectors, age groups, cities, industries, and educational backgrounds.

The report provides deep insights into the evolving role of AI in today’s workforce, highlighting a growing confidence among professionals in retaining their jobs despite technological disruptions particularly with AI. It further reveals a trend toward optimism, with many professionals increasingly open to exploring new roles and opportunities through upskilling, especially in fields like AI and Machine Learning.
The report further highlights intriguing insights including:
- 78% of professionals are optimistic about AI’s impact on their careers; despite 69% believing that AI is disrupting their job roles.
- 46% of professionals from Tier-1 cities have noticed the benefits from upskilling, deeming it extremely important, in comparison to 26% of individuals from Tier-2 cities.
- 80% of professionals report that they use GenAI to learn new skills, while 60% say that they use it in their work ‘always’ or ‘frequently’.
- 82% of professionals are in job search mode, with 51% actively looking to switch jobs in 2025, and 31% open but passively exploring. High competition and unmet salary expectations are the biggest challenges while searching for a job
- While 87% of professionals are eager to upskill to further their careers this year, 37% have identified office work as a challenge in acquiring new skills.
- 23% of professionals have identified money as one of the biggest motivators for upskilling.
- The integration of AI at workplaces has led to 80% of individuals utilising GenAI to learn new skills, with 60% using it to assist with work tasks.
