Agartala, Tripura, 21st of February, 2026 : On specific information of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) secret operation was launched in Agartala Railway Station on Saturday (21st February, 2026). According to the sources, RPF & GRP, arrested one (1) drug peddlers from Agartala Railway Station and seized total of 63 nos bottles of Eskuf cough syrup.
According to sources, GRP & RPF of Agartala at about 1230 PM managed to arrest one person namely Sakal Dip Ray (65), S/O-Khaldhari Ray of Khilwat, Khilwat, Bidhupur, Vailshali, Bihar at Agartala Railway Station in Parking area in between RPF Post Agartala and pay & use toilet along with total 63 nos bottles of suspected contraband narcotic Eskuf cough syrup in his bag. The value of this Eskuf cough syrup is Rs-01 Lakh approx in black market. Accordingly Railway Police have arrested him and seized contraband Eskuf cough syrup. A specific case vide Agartala GRPS case no-2026GRP012, U/S-21(C)/29 of NDPS Act-1985 has registered against him.
