Dharmanagar, Tripura, 21st of February, 2026 : Several complaints regarding lost and stolen mobile phones are being lodged regularly at different police stations across North Tripura district. Treating each complaint with utmost priority, the police administration has been conducting thorough investigations.Under the leadership of Superintendent of Police Avinash Rai, the District Cyber Cell of Tripura Police, in coordination with concerned police stations, has successfully recovered many lost and stolen mobile phones through sustained technical efforts.

Police officials stated that continuous operations are underway to trace and recover the remaining identified devices.On Saturday, at a programme held at the Office of the Superintendent of Police, North District, 14 recovered mobile phones were formally handed over to their rightful owners. The beneficiaries expressed relief and gratitude upon receiving their long-lost devices and appreciated the proactive initiative of the police.The police administration further informed that the District Cyber Cell remains committed to preventing cybercrime and ensuring digital safety, reaffirming its dedication to public service.
