Mumbai, Maharashtra, 28th of February, 2026 : A melodious voice rising from the sacred city of Haridwar is now echoing through music studios in Mumbai. Carrying the rich legacy of folk culture in his heart, young singer Ashu Sehgal has made a promising entry into the music industry with his new song “Are Jhumka Bali Re.” The track has been composed and written by noted Bollywood music director S. P. Sen, who has crafted the song to highlight Ashu’s distinctive vocal style.
Recorded at Priya Sarega Studio in Mumbai, the song will soon be released on the YouTube channel of Moon Movies. The project is produced by Sompal Sehgal, who has given the song a vibrant presentation.
Hailing from the village of Bharapur Bhauri in Haridwar, Ashu Sehgal received his initial musical training from Meenu Pandit and is currently honing his vocal skills under Ms. Karuna Chauhan. While pursuing his Bachelor of Arts (Second Year), Ashu continues to nurture his passion for music with dedication and discipline.
He draws inspiration from legendary singers such as Mohammed Rafi, Kishore Kumar, Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan, and Arijit Singh. Influenced by these iconic voices, Ashu is steadily carving out his own musical identity.
Earlier, he lent his voice to the title track of the film Man Se Man Tak and has also recorded a song for an album. He is now preparing to sing for another upcoming film, marking the next significant milestone in his career.
Ashu credits much of his journey to the unwavering support of his father, who was present during the recording session as well. His village community proudly regards him as a talented singer and wishes him continued success.
