Sonamura, Tripura, 17th of March 2026 : Sonamura Police secret operation was launched at Sonamura on Monday (16th March, 2026). Sonamura Police, arrested one drug paddlers.
According report, the police of Sonamura Police Station have arrested a drug peddler on charges of being involved in illegal drug trafficking. The accused is being produced before the Court with a request for appropriate police remand.
The name of the arrested person Aminul Islam (36) S/O-Shamsul Haque, Suryanagar, Sonapur, PS-Sonamura, Sepahijala, Tripura.
During interrogation by a special police team, several names of drug peddlers operating under Sonamura Police Station were revealed. Verification of these names and addresses is currently underway by various intelligence agencies. It is expected that, based on proper evidence, more individuals involved in drug trafficking may be arrested from the area.
