ADC Village Council Polling Underway Peacefully In North District.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 28th of September, 2026 : The ADC Village Council election is being held in a festive atmosphere across North District on Monday (28th September, 2026). Polling began at 7 am at all polling stations under the jurisdiction of Yubarajnagar Block, with voters turning up at various polling centres since the commencement of voting.

Yubarajnagar BDO and Returning Officer Prosenjit Malakar said that polling began at 7 am at every polling station under the block. Necessary arrangements have been made at all centres to ensure smooth conduct of the election.

Along with polling personnel, security personnel deployed at the polling stations are also actively carrying out their duties. Special attention has been given to ensuring that voters can exercise their franchise without any difficulty in a peaceful environment.Till the time of filing this report, no untoward incident had been reported from any of the ADC villages under Yubarajnagar Block. The overall polling process has remained peaceful, the Returning Officer said. The administration is closely monitoring the situation at all polling centres.Returning Officer Prosenjit Malakar said that the polling process has so far remained normal and peaceful. He expressed hope that voting would continue in the same manner until 4 pm, allowing voters to exercise their franchise without any disruption within the stipulated time.

Meanwhile, administrative activities have continued across various areas of Yubarajnagar Block in connection with the election. Officials and security personnel remain deployed and are keeping a close watch on the situation until polling concludes.After the completion of polling, further procedures will be carried out as per the guidelines and schedule prescribed by the Election Commission.
