Sonamura, Tripura, 20th of March, 2026 : Sonamura police during patrolling duty at Srimantapur border road recovered and seized total 8 kg DRY ganja, as unclaimed on Friday (20th March, 2026).
According to sources, Sonamura Police Station recovered and seized total total 8 kg Dry Cannabis (Ganja). After that seized it after observing all legal formalities as unclaimed. The destination market value of the seized ganja is approximately to be 1.6 Lakh only.
Interacted with media Inspector Tapas Das, Officer in Charge Sonamura Police Station said that Sonamura police has started an investigation as to who could be the owner of these illegal Seizejts ganja. OC also stated that such operations against illegal contrabands would continue next day.
