“Earth Decoration Day” Celebrated In Dharmanagar With A Message Of Environmental Awareness.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 24th of April 2026 : “Earth Decoration Day 2026” was celebrated with due dignity under the initiative of the North Tripura District Committee of the All India cultural organization Sanskar Bharati. The colorful event was held around 4:30 PM at the premises of “Ankan Neer” Art School, located in the Nayapara area of Dharmanagar. The event was attended Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)- jahar Chakraborty Also present were RSS North District Vibhag Pracharak Pradip Debbarma, Cultural Advisory Committee member Dipal Das, and President of Sanskar Bharati North District Committee, Amlendu Choudhury. Their presence and cooperation made the program more meaningful and successful.The event witnessed the participation of eminent artists, poets, writers, teachers, students, and guardians. Their active involvement added vibrancy to the celebration.

The primary objective of “Earth Decoration Day” is to spread environmental awareness by decorating the earth through alpana (traditional floor art) and various forms of painting. This initiative emphasizes love, preservation, and responsibility towards soil and nature. Important messages such as water conservation, tree plantation, and environmental protection were beautifully expressed through art.It is worth mentioning that this day is observed across the country under the initiative of Sanskar Bharati. In Indian philosophy, the Earth is regarded as a mother, and this concept forms the foundation of “Earth Decoration Day.” The initiative aims to instill respect and awareness towards nature while promoting the revival of indigenous culture through folk art, folk dance, and painting, establishing art as a medium for social welfare.
