Agartala, Tripura, 1st of May 2026 : Shri Aloke Kumar Chakraborty, Inspector General, BSF Tripura Frontier, dedicated ‘Sisir Vatika’ at the BSF Frontier Headquarters, Salbagan, Tripura, on 30 April 2026 in fond memory of Late Shri Sisir Kumar Chakraborty (1945–1999), who laid down his life on the altar of the nation at Bandipora, J&K.

It honours his legacy of dedicated service, courage, and unwavering commitment to duty.
Conceived as a “tribute in green” on the 60th year of the BSF in service of the nation, Sisir Vatika symbolises remembrance, inspiration, gratitude & deep respect for all the Seema Praharies who have made the supreme sacrifice on the alter of duty to protect the pride & sovereignty of India.
The dedication ceremony was graced by the presence of Smt. Biplabi Chakraborty, wife of Late Shri Sisir Kumar Chakraborty, along with BSF personnel and ex service men from the state of Tripura.
