Journey and Legacy
Tripura Gramin Bank, established in 1976 with just four branches, was founded with a mission to serve rural farmers, artisans, and weaker sections of society. Today, we have grown into a strong institution with 150 branches, 12 Ultra Small Branches, and presence across all eight districts of Tripura.
From a modest business of ₹4.52 lakh in 1976, we have achieved a total business of over ₹15,422 crore in 2026, reflecting our consistent growth and commitment to financial inclusion.
Infrastructure Expansion
- 43 ATMs across the state (increased from 34):
- 24 rural
- 16 semi-urban
- 3 urban
- Strengthening last-mile banking access across rural and remote areas.
Strong Financial Performance
I am happy to share that during FY 2025–26:
- Our total business grew by 9.49% to ₹15,422 crore
- Deposits increased to ₹10,889 crore, showing strong customer trust
- Advances grew by 12.77%, reaching ₹4,532 crore
- CD ratio improved to 41.62%, indicating better credit deployment On the profitability front:
- Operating Profit stood at ₹236.10 crore
- Net Profit increased significantly to ₹184.84 crore, registering a remarkable growth of over 76%
- Loan disbursement during year: ₹2,854.71 crore
This reflects the financial strength and operational efficiency of the Bank.
Asset Quality and Stability
One of the most important indicators of a bank’s health is asset quality.
I am pleased to inform that:
Gross NPA reduced to 2.89%
- Net NPA is Zero
This demonstrates our strong credit discipline and effective recovery mechanisms.
Additionally, our Capital Adequacy Ratio stands at 28.58%, which is far above the regulatory requirement, ensuring safety and stability. Indicates strong financial stability and disciplined credit management.
Productivity Improvement
- Per Branch Business: ₹102.81 crore
- Per Employee Business: ₹17.77 crore
- Reflects improved operational efficiency.
Priority Sector & Rural Focus
- Agriculture & Allied Advances: ₹1,119.05 crore (24.69%)
- Total Priority Sector Advances: ₹3,499.81 crore (77.22%)
- Both exceed regulatory requirements.
Driving Financial Inclusion & Rural Development
Tripura Gramin Bank continues to be a leader in financial inclusion:
Over 5.39 lakh PM Jan Dhan accounts
- 4.58 lakh PM Suraksha Bima Yojana enrollments
- PMJJBY: 1.73 lakh enrollments
- APY: 1.89 lakh enrollments reflecting Strong participation in PM-Social Security Schemes.
We have also actively supported claim settlements under social security schemes, ensuring timely assistance to beneficiaries.
Our commitment to rural development is reflected in:
- 29,661 KCC loans supporting farmers (₹125.56 crore)
- 16,360 SHG loans empowering women and rural groups (₹722.35 crore)
- 12,504 Mudra loans promoting small businesses (₹229.99 crore)
- PMEGP: 148 loans (₹15.28 crore)
- Swablamban: 609 loans (₹24.16 crore)
We are proud to say that Tripura Gramin Bank plays a pivotal role in entrepreneurship development and employment generation in the state.

- PMFME, PM SVANidhi, Mudra, SHG, and RTO loans actively supported.
- Mudra categories: Shishu, Kishore, Tarun beneficiaries covered.
- SHG individual loans (Adwitya): ₹19.11 crore
- RTO Loans: ₹62.36 crore
- Strong contribution towards livelihood and employment generation.
Housing & Education Support
- Housing Loans sanctioned: 1,101 (₹260.64 crore)
- Total housing outstanding: ₹971.70 crore
- Education Loans sanctioned: 86 (₹4.58 crore)
- Total education outstanding: ₹25.45 crore
Digital Transformation & Innovation
In line with modern banking needs, we have taken significant steps in digital transformation:
- Launch of e-Bank Guarantee (e-BG) for paperless banking
- Introduction of Co-branded Credit Card with PNB.
- Launch of TGB Think Tank
- Enhancement of Mobile Banking with new features like BBPS, IMPS, and security upgrades
- Expansion of e-Lobbies (6 e-lobbies operational & 9 more in pipeline)
- BC network (487 BC points including 148 BC Sakhis)
- Implementation of Aadhaar Data Vault and advanced digital security systems
