Silchar Group Secures First Position At NER Directorate Service & Sports Shooting Competition.

Shillong, Meghalaya / Tripura, 7th of May 2026 : The Silchar Group proudly secured the First Position at the prestigious NER Directorate Service and Sports Shooting Competition, held at 58 GTC, Happy Valley, Shillong. The competition brought together the best NCC firing teams from across the Northeast Region, showcasing exceptional discipline, precision, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

A total of nine groups from different parts of the Northeast participated in the championship, including:

– Aizawl Group, Kohima Group, Jorhat Group, Tezpur Group, Dibrugarh Group, Imphal Group, Shillong Group, Guwahati Group , ⁠Silchar Group

Competing against some of the finest shooting teams in the region, the Silchar Group displayed outstanding performance and consistency throughout the event, ultimately emerging as the overall champions.

The competition was organised under the NER Directorate and hosted at the historic Happy Valley, Shillong, within the premises of 58 GTC. The event aimed to promote marksmanship, discipline, leadership, and unity among NCC cadets while encouraging healthy competitive spirit and professional excellence in shooting sports.
