Dharmanagar, Tripura, 8th of May 2026 : On the occasion of World Red Cross Day, the foundation day of the Red Cross Society was observed with great enthusiasm on Friday at Dharmanagar District Hospital. To mark the occasion, a mega blood donation camp was organized by the Indian Red Cross Society.

Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were North Tripura Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Aparna Nath, newly elected MLA of Dharmanagar Jahar Chakraborty, Bagbassa MLA Jadabalal Nath, along with several other distinguished guests from different sectors. The speakers highlighted the humanitarian activities and social service role of the Red Cross Society. They stated that blood donation is a noble act that can help save many lives and urged people from all sections of society to come forward voluntarily to donate blood.
The blood donation camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from donors. The hospital premises wore a festive look as World Red Cross Day was celebrated in a vibrant atmosphere.The organizers informed that such humanitarian initiatives would continue in the future as well.
