UAE /Tripura, 16th of May 2026 : Fourteen-year-old author, podcaster, book reviewer, and speaker Oindrila Chakraborty has been one of the few semifinalists at the Top Young Innovators of the UAE. Two out of her four ideas have been selected for the finals which might result in getting USA Patents. She is the only participant to have contributed more than one idea to solving real life problems. The distinguished panel of judges who shortlisted the successful young innovators were professionals from NASA, WHO, UN, Brookhaven National Lab-USA and United States AirForce At age 13, Oindrila published her second novel, Shadows of Rosalia, with Notion Press (ISBN-13: 979-8897776504). The book is available worldwide on Amazon, Kindle, Kobo, Notion Press, and other leading e-commerce platforms and bookstores.
She authored her first novella at just 11, titled The Adventures of the Legendary Queen, also published by Notion Press (ISBN-13: 979-8890266774). Both titles are available globally through Amazon and various other platforms. Her books are also stocked at major bookstores including Kinokuniya Dubai Mall and Magrudy’s.
Oindrila is currently working on her third manuscript—an anthology of short stories—and continues to engage young readers through her podcast channel, where she reviews books and presents documentary-style episodes.

A recipient of the Creative and Contemporary Arts Scholarship from her British curriculum school, Oindrila has earned multiple literary accolades. One of her short stories received an Honourable Mention from Oxford University Press and the Emirates Literature Foundation, while another earned the Readers’ Choice Award and was featured in the anthology The Great Indian Teen Fiction Collective.
She holds two registered copyrights and has led a book club at the Zayed Central Library. In recognition of her contributions to youth literature, Oindrila was invited to moderate a panel discussion of young authors at the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature 2026 in Dubai, where she also presented her novels and signed copies for attendees.
Her work continues to appear in prominent anthologies, including Dasavatara – 10 Avatars of Lord Vishnu and Abhimanyu – Fight Till Your Last Breath (Ukiyoto Publishing).
