CPI(M) Protest Rally In Dharmanagar Against ED Search At Pinarayi Vijayan’s Residence.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 30th of May 2026 : A protest rally was organized in Dharmanagar on Saturday by the CITU Dharmanagar Sub-Divisional Committee against the Enforcement Directorate (ED) search operation conducted at the residence of former Kerala Chief Minister and CPI(M) leader Pinarayi Vijayan.

The rally commenced at 12 noon from the CPI(M) Dharmanagar Sub -Divisional office premises and marched through several important roads of the town. During the procession, participants raised slogans criticizing the Central Government and condemning the actions of the ED.

Addressing the gathering, party leaders alleged that central investigative agencies are being used for political purposes to suppress opposition voices. They claimed that such actions are aimed at intimidating political opponents and undermining democratic institutions.Prominent leaders who participated in the protest included CPI(M) State Secretariat member Amitabha Dutta, North District Secretary Abhijit De, State Committee member Durgesh Roy, Dharmanagar Sub-Divisional Secretary Ratan Roy, and MLA Shailendra Chandra Nath, along with a large number of party leaders, workers, and supporters.

The speakers strongly condemned the ED action and emphasized the need to intensify the struggle to protect democratic rights and constitutional values. They called for a united movement against what they described as the misuse of central investigative agencies.A significant number of workers, activists, and supporters from various parts of Dharmanagar Sub-Division participated in the rally, drawing considerable attention within the local political sphere.The leaders also urged people to continue raising their voices against what they termed authoritarian measures and to remain united in defending democratic principles in the days ahead.
