Prize Distribution Ceremony Of Khelo Dharmanagar 2025” Held Successfully.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 31st of May 2026 : The prize distribution ceremony of “Biswabandhu Sen Memorial Khelo Dharmanagar 2025”, organized with the aim of encouraging youth towards a healthy and positive lifestyle through sports, was held on Saturday (31st May, 2026) at the Vivekananda Sardha Shatabarshiki Bhavan in Dharmanagar.

The event was conducted in a festive atmosphere, where prizes and honors were presented to individual athletes and teams who excelled in various competitions.The ceremony was inaugurated by Jahar Chakraborty, MLA of Dharmanagar. In his address, he stated that sports are not merely a source of entertainment but also one of the fundamental pillars of physical and mental development. He emphasized that sports play a crucial role in keeping the younger generation away from substance abuse and various social evils.

Among the distinguished guests present were Aparna Nath, Sabhadhipati of the North Tripura Zilla Parishad; Mitali Rani Das Sen, Chairperson of the Dharmanagar Municipal Council; noted social worker Shyamal Nath; and Debjani Choudhury, Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Dharmanagar. All the speakers highlighted the importance of promoting sports and fostering a strong sporting culture among the youth.Paying tribute to the memory of Biswabandhu Sen, the speakers remarked that the tournament organized in his name has become not only a platform for nurturing talent but also an important avenue for strengthening social harmony and unity.

In the concluding segment of the event, trophies, medals, and certificates were awarded to winners and outstanding participants across different categories. The enthusiasm and encouragement of players, parents, and sports enthusiasts added vibrancy to the occasion. The organizers expressed hope of hosting the tournament on an even larger scale next year.
