Dharmanagar, Tripura, 16th of June 2026 : Various programs were organized on Monday (15th June, 2026) in Dharmanagar, North Tripura, to mark the completion of 12 years of the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. From tree plantation drives to public meetings, the day witnessed active participation from Rajya Sabha MP and former BJP State President Rajib Bhattacharjee.

At around 2:30 PM, MP Rajib Bhattacharjee took part in a tree plantation program held at the District Magistrate’s office premises in the Batarashi area of Dharmanagar. The initiative aimed to spread awareness about environmental conservation and promote greenery. Among those present were Dharmanagar MLA Jahar Chakraborty, MLA Jadav Lal Nath of Bagbassa constituency, North Tripura Zilla Parishad Chairperson Aparna Nath, BJP North District President Kajal Das, along with several party leaders, workers, and distinguished guests.
At the event emphasized the importance of tree plantation in protecting the environment and called upon citizens to work towards creating a greener and more livable planet for future generations. They highlighted the need to maintain environmental balance alongside development.Later, at 3:00 PM, a public meeting and various welfare-oriented programs were organized at the Vivekananda Sardha Shatabarshiki Hall in Dharmanagar to commemorate the Central Government’s 12-year tenure. Discussions focused on the government’s developmental initiatives, public welfare schemes, and efforts to build an “Atmanirbhar Bharat”.
Addressing the gathering, MP Rajib Bhattacharjee stated that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the Central Government has implemented several welfare schemes over the past 12 years aimed at improving the lives of people across all sections of society. He mentioned schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Jal Jeevan Mission, and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan as major contributors to enhancing the quality of life for citizens.He further stated that the government places equal importance on environmental conservation alongside development, and initiatives such as tree plantation reflect this commitment. He asserted that the Central Government continues to work tirelessly towards building a developed and self-reliant India while urging every citizen to actively participate in protecting the environment.
Other leaders present at the meeting highlighted the benefits of various government schemes and expressed their commitment to continuing the path of development in the future. A large number of party workers, supporters, and members of the public attended the event.The day-long programs held special significance in Dharmanagar’s political and social landscape. Besides celebrating the achievements of the Central Government over the past 12 years, the events also conveyed a message of environmental conservation and sustainable development.
