Agartala, Tripura, 18th of June, 2026 : On specific information of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) secret operation was launched in Agartala Railway Station Monday (15th June, 2026). According to the sources, RPF & GRP, arrested one (1) drug peddlers from Agartala Railway Station and seized total 600 nos ESkuf cough syrup.
According to sources, on 15.06.2026 at about 10 PM we managed to catch one person namely Pranab kr Paul (60) @Apu, S/O- Lt Arun Paul of Hair Mara, SD Mission, PS- AD Nagar, West District, Tripura at Agartala Railway Station Platform No-01 near Railway station park in the Jirania end along with total 600 no’s bottle of suspected to be contraband narcotic ESkuf cough syrup in his gunny bags.
Accordingly Railway Police have detained him and seized the contraband ESkuf cough syrup. The value of this ESkuf cough syrup is Rs- 5 Lakh approx in the black market. A specific case vide Agartala GRPS case no-2026 GRP 041, dtd. 16.06.2026 U/S-21(C)/29 of NDPS Act-1985 was registered against him.
