Sonamura, Tripura, 18th of June 2026 : Sonamura police during patrolling duty recovered and seized dry Cannabis (Ganja) and Kingfisher beers at N C Nagar border road, Sonamura under Sepahijala District on Thursday (18th June, 2026).
According to sources, Sonamura Police Station recovered and seized total total 8.700 kg dry Ganja , 40 nos. Kingfisher beers. After that, it was seized following all legal formalities as unclaimed.
The destination market value of the seized Ganja and Kingfisher beer is approximately to be 1.6 Lakh only.
Interacted with media Inspector Tapas Das, Officer in Charge Sonamura Police Station said that Sonamura police has started an investigation as to who could be the owner of these illegal seizes ganja and kingfisher beer.
OC also stated that such operations against illegal contrabands would continue next day.
