Sonamura, Tripura, 26th of June 2026 : Sonamura police during patrolling duty recovered and seized total 10.250 kg dry Cannabis (Ganja) at UNC Nagar border road side, Sonamura under Sepahijala District on Thursday (25th June 2026) night.
According to sources, Sonamura Police Station during mobile duty at UNC Nagar border road side recovered and seized total-10.250 Kg dry ganja into 5 nos. packets. After that, it was seized following all legal formalities as unclaimed.
The destination market value of the seized ganja is approximately to be 2 Lakh only.
Interacted with media Inspector Tapas Das, Officer in Charge Sonamura Police Station said that Sonamura police has started an investigation as to who could be the owner of these illegal seizes ganja.
OC also stated that such operations against illegal contrabands would continue next day.
