Amarpur, Tripura, 26th of June 2026 : With the initiative of Ompi CHC Asha Varisha Diwas observation cum inauguration of OST centre programme has been conducted here in Ompi Nagar CHC, Amarpur in Gomati Tripura today. On this occasion all Asha workers under the CHC and a large number of dignitaries of different sectors have assembled here in the programme. In presence of many distinguished event participants the Ampi 41 constituency MLA Pathan Lal Jamatia has inaugurated the new OST centre here in Ompi CHC today.
To promote the medical service more appreciable here in the CHC the department has opened this one more medical amenity for the general public in this CHC. As per the report, an OST (Opioid Substitution Therapy) centre is a specialized health care facility that provides medically supervised, long-term replacement therapy for individuals dependent on opioid such as heroin or illicitly injected drugs. On the other hand, on the occasion of Asha Varosha Diwas special inspiring speech was delivered to Asha worker participants by the Ampi MLA Pathan Lal Jamatia. To motivate the Asha worker women the CHC incharge Dr. Milan Bhakta Jamatia has provided them many public service related tips. To accelerate the digital application in service sector 88 smart phones were distributed amidst the Asha workers under Ompi CHC today.
Amidst the other distinguished participants of the event there were Ampi 23: constituency MDC Kamal Kalai, Ampi block TMP president Sanjay Jamatia, Ampi BAC chairman Sindhu Chandra Jamatia, TMP block organizing secretary Deb Sadhan Jamatia and many others remained present in the programme.
