Amarpur, Tripura, 6th of July 2026 : With the initiative of NSS unit of Ampi Nagar Higher Secondary School a motivational plantation drive programme has been conducted here in Ampi Nagar Higher Secondary School premises in Gomati Tripura today.
On this occasion a large number of school students, teachers, Eco Club members and many distinguished dignitaries from different places have assembled here in the venue and took participation in the plantation drive programme. In presence of dignitary participants Ampi 23 constituency MDC Kamal Kalai has inaugurated the event. As per the report, different kinds of saplings have been planted in blank places and road sides of the school premises. Some saplings were planted adjacent school area too.
To generate inspiration amidst students over plantation drive programme MDC Kamal Kalai has said, “To create healthy and fresh atmosphere for human beings trees are keeping a significant role. Plants provide us leaf, flowers, fruits, medicines, shadow, wood and most important one oxygen. We have to plant regularly and protect them until their maturity. Plants generate cool breeze and make our environment comfortable.”
Amidst the other participants there were Nibash Debbarma, superintendent of Ompi subdivision agriculture, Sukesh Kalai, H.M of Ampi Nagar Higher Secondary School, Md Anowarul Haque, G.T, Durgahari Jamatia, I.S and many others remained present in the event.
