Dharmanagar, Tripura, 10th of July 2026 : Chaos erupted on Friday (10th July, 2026) morning at Dinanath Narayani Vidyamandir in Dharmanagar, North Tripura, after the school’s main gate reportedly remained closed even after the scheduled opening time.
According to allegations, students who had arrived to appear for their scheduled examination were left waiting outside the school premises as the gate was not opened on time. The incident triggered anger among parents and students, who staged a road blockade in front of the school in protest.

Parents alleged that the school has been facing a severe shortage of teachers for a long time. They claimed that the morning shift is functioning with an acute lack of teaching staff, and with two teachers currently on leave, classes are effectively being managed by only one teacher. As a result, regular academic activities are being disrupted, seriously affecting the quality of education. The protesting parents stated that the lack of adequate teachers has created an unhealthy learning environment.
They also criticized the school’s failure to open its gates at the designated time, calling it another example of administrative negligence.Expressing their dissatisfaction, parents demanded the immediate appointment of sufficient teaching staff, strict adherence to the school’s opening schedule, and effective measures to improve the overall standard of education. They warned that if their demands are not addressed promptly, they would launch a larger protest in the coming days. The incident has also raised serious questions regarding the school’s administrative management and functioning.
