ARDD, Fisheries, SC Welfare Minister Sudhangshu Das At The Review Meeting Of Three Departments Thousands Of Rural Families Have Found Self-Reliance Through Various Government Projects.

Agartala, Tripura, 14th of July 2026 : Animal resources development, fisheries and SC welfare departments are playing pivotal role in strengthening the rural economy. All have to be more sincere and responsible so as to ensure that the benefits of welfare schemes reach the target beneficiaries in time. Hon’ble ARDD, Fisheries and SC Welfare Minister Sudhangshu Das stated this on Tuesday (14th July, 2026) at the West district level review meeting of these departments held at the Sonar Tori State Guest House.

The Minister reviewing the works of these three departments said that thousands of rural families have found self-reliance through various projects in the field of animal husbandry, dairy, livestock rearing, and fish farming. He said production of egg, milk and meat has to be increased more through the selection of right beneficiaries and by encouraging them. Fish production should also be increased to meet the demand for fish in the state. For this purpose he directed the officials of the department to deliver benefits of various schemes to the target beneficiaries on time. He also urged all concerned to timely implement the projects outlined by the respective departments during the current financial year.

At the review meeting acting Sabhadhipati of West Tripura Zilla Parishad Biswajit Shil also deliberated on different developmental plans and programmes. Among others who participated in the discussion included Hon’ble Deputy Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Manika Das Datta, MLA Antara Sarkar (Deb), DM Dr. Vishal Kumar, and ARDD secretary Deepa D Nair. Besides, MDCs of TTAADC, chairmen of BAC and Panchayat Samitis. Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats took part in the discussion. SDMs of three subdivisions of West Tripura district presented status update on various development projects in their respective jurisdictions. In addition, officials of the three departments highlighted salient points of various projects.
