Agartala, Tripura, 17th of July 2026 : The Hare Krishna Temple celebrated the Ratha Yatra festival at Hare Krishna Temple, Ashram Chowmuhani, Agartala, Tripura on Thursday (16th July, 2026). The Ratha Yatra, also known as the Chariot Celebration of Lord Jagannath, Devi Subhadra, and Lord Balabhadra, is the most prominent Hindu festival.

On this auspicious occasion, in the presence of many dignitaries Hon’ble Governor of Tripura Indrasena Reddy Nallu was inaugurated the Ratha Yatra festival.
Addressing at the celebration ceremony of Ratha Yatra festival Hon’ble Governor of Tripura Indrasena Reddy Nallu highlighted the significance of the Rath Yatra festival and emphasized its role in promoting peace, communal harmony, and spiritual values. The Governor prayed for the happiness, peace, and prosperity of the people of Tripura and said that, according to tradition, not everyone can enter the sanctum sanctorum of a temple to have a glimpse of the deity. Therefore, Lord Jagannath himself comes out on the chariot to bless devotees, allowing people from all sections of society-rich and poor alike to receive his darshan.

Amidst the other distinguished dignitaries there were Hon’ble Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, President of Hare Krishna Temple Joy Das, social activists Arindam Chowdhury, Adhir Debnath and many other distinguished dignitaries were present in the Ratha Yatra celebrations ceremony.
