Sonamura, Tripura, 24th of July 2026 : On 19th July, 2026 early morning on the basis of secret information conducted raid and search at UNC Nagar ward no -03 under Sonamura PS, in the dwelling house of one drug paddler and recovered and seized total 146 nos Eskuf cough syrup.
In this regard one specific case registered at Sonamura PS under NDPS ACT -1985. In this case 02 accused arrested & now in J/C.
In this case another drug paddler arrested from Kolkata airport as linked with this case and He has been brought to the Sonamura police station and today will forwarded in the LD court with police remand. It is mention here that after commission of crime he was absconded from this area.
Interacted with media Inspector Tapas Das, Officer in Charge Sonamura Police Station gave details about this. OC also stated that such operations against illegal contrabands would continue next day.
