Mumbai, Maharashtra, 31st of July, 2026 : Following the successful conclusion of this year’s Jagannath Rath Yatra, Berger Paints India Ltd. marked the completion of painting the Puri’s iconic Grand Road (Bada Danda), continuing its association with the landmark route for the second consecutive year. The company contributed decorative paint solutions to the stretch that served as the centrepiece of one of India’s most significant religious festivals.
The initiative covered nearly 300 buildings lining both sides of the 4-kilometre stretch between the Shree Jagannath Temple and the Mausi Maa Temple, with close to 10 lakh sq. ft. of surface painted over a period of one month. Finished in a uniform light peach colour with white borders, the refreshed route formed the backdrop to this year’s Jagannath Rath Yatra, welcoming millions of devotees during the annual procession.
