Sonamura, Tripura, 6th of August, 2026 : Sonamura police during patrolling duty recovered and seized total ESKUF Cough Syrup and 4900 Nos Tapentadol Tablets at NC Nagar border road side and Dhanpur near bricks industry Sonamura under Sepahijala District on Wednesday (5th August, 2026).
According to sources, Sonamura Police conducted raid and search at NC Nagar border road and Dhanpur near bricks industry recovered and seized total- 40 bottle ESKUF cough syrup and Total 4900 Nos Tapentadol Tablets.
The destination market value of the seized ESKUF cough syrup and Total 4900 Nos Tapentadol Tablets is approximately to be 5.5 lakhs only.
Interacted with media Inspector Tapas Das, Officer in Charge Sonamura Police Station said that Sonamura police has started an investigation as to who could be the owner of these illegal ESKUF cough syrup and Total 4900 Nos Tapentadol Tablets.
OC also stated that such operations against illegal contrabands would continue next day.
