Public Raised Allegation Over LPG Vitrak In Ampi.

Amarpur, Tripura, 8th of August 2026 : The general registered beneficiaries of LPG and PMUY of Ampi Nagar block, Amarpur, Gomati Tripura are not availing the benefit of the schemes as per the criteria approved by the concerned authorities. (PMUY) beneficiaries that, as per the applicable Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) guidelines, the prescribed mandatory LPG safety inspection Charge for PMUY customers is only 59. But as per the report the locals, the proprietor is collecting more money from the poor beneficiaries and cheating them.

The proprietor, Khokhan Debnath, has acknowledged that excess charges were mistakenly collected from some PMUY customers. Sources said, he has accepted responsibility, issued a formal apology, and has decided to refund the entire excess amount collected from all affected PMUY beneficiaries. All affected PMUY customers are requested to visit the Ampinagar Indane Gramin Vitrak office with their consumer details and collect the refund of the excess amount at the earliest.

The question is that why the innocent beneficiaries have been cheated again and again. In the other hand, LPG general customers have to get home delivery facility for their gas cylinder but the local proprietor or distributors do not provide gas cylinder home delivery at all. When delivery charge was taken with the gas booking time then why beneficiaries have to take cylinder with additional labour by spending extra money? Public wrath has been prevailed over this public harrassing issue. IOCL authority must concentrate over the issue and take necessary action immediately, demanded the victim beneficiaries of Ampi Nagar.
