Belonia/Agartala, Tripura, 8th of August, 2026 : The SPANDAN League 2026 – Tripura State-Level Football Tournament, organised by BSF Tripura, concluded successfully on Friday (7th August, 2026) with a grand finale at Belonia Football Ground.
Held from 03–07 August 2026, the tournament brought together district teams from across Tripura, promoting sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork and youth empowerment through football.
In the final, North Tripura defeated Gomati 4–1 to lift the SPANDAN League 2026 trophy, while Sepahijala secured third place with a 4–3 victory over West Tripura.
The closing ceremony was graced by Smt. Princee Rani, IPS, Inspector General, BSF Tripura Frontier, as the Chief Guest. Shri Rajkumar, DIG, Gokulnagar Sector, was the Guest of Honour, along with Sh. Md. Sajad, IAS, District Magistrate & Collector, South Tripura, and Sh. Maurya Krishna C., IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Tripura. Senior BSF officers, civil administration officials and other dignitaries were also present.
Addressing the gathering, the Inspector General congratulated the winners and all participating teams for their outstanding sporting spirit. She said that initiatives like the SPANDAN League encourage a vibrant sporting culture in the state while inspiring youth to channel their energy towards discipline, teamwork and nation-building. She also appreciated the support extended by the Government of Tripura, the Tripura Football Association, the district administration, match officials and BSF personnel in making the tournament a grand success.
The Chief Guest and other dignitaries presented trophies, medals and individual awards to the winning teams and outstanding performers.
