Agartala, Tripura, 12th of August, 2026 : The State Government aims to ensure proper facilities for the tourists in all tourist spots of the state. For that the ongoing developmental works have to be finished within the stipulated time. The state government is implementing various projects to develop modern amenities at historical and nature tourism spots. Hon’ble Tourism Minister of Tripura Sushanta Chowdhury said this while chairing the 40th meeting of the Board of Directors of Tripura Tourism Development Corporation held in his office chamber on Tuesday (11th August, 2026).

In the meeting the minister enquired about the ongoing development projects at Matabari Circuit House, Amar Sagar Lake, and Dumboor Lake. He also enquired about the upcoming floating restaurant at Neermahal and Chhabimura as well as construction of tourist lodge at different locations. He wanted to know about the financial status of TTDC. Secretary of the tourism department Uttam Kumar Chakma and director of the department Prashant Badal Negi presented brief overview on the actions taken on the decisions of the previous Board meeting, various tourism related development works and income and expenses of the Tourism Development Corporation.
Among others present in the meeting were secretary of the finance department P.K. Goyal, PCCF R.K. Samal, chief engineer of PWD Anup Kumar Das, deputy secretary of home department Hena Debbarma and other officials.
