Amarpur, Tripura, 21st of August 2026 : =With the initiative of Ompi block veterinary hospital (ARDD) a livestock distribution programme has been conducted here in veterinary hospital premises in Ampi Nagar block in Gomati Tripura on Friday (21st August, 2026).
Under the scheme of MPSBY 2026-27 the concerned authority has provided livestock to beneficiaries’ to generate income source for their family financial establishment. Per beneficiary 1 goat to 10 beneficiaries, per beneficiary 1 pig to 10 beneficiaries and ducklings were provided to 15 beneficiaries where each beneficiary availed 20 nos with 99 cage and 5kg of feed. Total 35 poor beneficiaries of the locality were given this free livestock amenity through this programme. On this occasion Ampi 41 constituency MLA Pathan Lal Jamatia, BAC chairman Sindhu Chandra Jamatia and Ampi 23 constituency MDC Kamal Kalai have attended the event and handed over the ARDD amenities to the needy beneficiaries.

To generate proper awareness over the rearing livestock for smooth family financial management enhancement they have motivated the livestock rearers and instructed them to maintain project as piggery, goatery or duckery with full concentration and care. As per the report, under the supervision of the veterinary officer Lampra Debbarma, healthy goats, pigs and ducklings have been distributed amidst the villagers.
According to the officials report, the Mukhyamantri Prani Sampad Bikash Yojana is a key animal husbandry initiative by the Government of Tripura’s Animal Resources Development Department (ARDD) designed to boost rural livelihoods, enhance local milk, meat, and egg production, and provide financial security to livestock rearers. It provides vital assistance such as backyard poultry and duck-rearing units to tens of thousands of rural beneficiaries and farmers, strengthening the local rural economy. The scheme integrates safety nets like the Prani Palak Samman Nidhi and livestock insurance coverage to protect farmers against unexpected animal loss or unnatural deaths. It targets self-sufficiency in animal resource products and feeds, fulfilling domestic demands and promoting sustainable agricultural growth in Tripura.
Amidst the other distinguished dignitaries there were Debarshi Jamatia, social activist, Deb Sadhan Jamatia, social activist and many others remained present in the programme.
